What to expect
The Introduction into Hand Therapy course is a four days course in which the delegate gains basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and pathology of the upper limb. Day one and two are intense with a focus on refreshing the anatomy and biomechanics of the upper limb. These are very hands-on days with a lot of time to learn to palpate and assess the hand and wrist. Day three and four are more focussed on acquiring knowledge in assessment, skills for treatment in common conditions and complications such as Dupuytrens, trigger finger and Quervains. Clinical reasoning is key during all of our courses, as well as improving and performing practical skills. All instructors will use up-to-date knowledge and practical skills since all instructors are practising therapists.
