Mel is a Hand Therapist / Occupational Therapist, European CHT (ECHT), MSc Hand Therapy and Master in Injection Therapy. She currently works in Switzerland (Winterthur). From 2015-2021 Mel worked in London (UK), Royal London Hospital, NHS. Before that she has worked as a Hand Therapist in the Netherlands.

From the start of The Hand Academy in 2008, she has been participating as developer, trainer and teacher. Mel was board member of the Dutch Society for Hand Therapy for nine years. In this role she was actively involved in the development of the Dutch certification system and writing of the professional profile for Hand Therapists. Mel has partaken roles in several international committees (IFSHT and EFSHT) and joins surgical missions to Sierra Leone and Tanzania.

Mattie is a Hand Therapist / Occupational Therapist, Dutch CHT and MSc. Mattie works at Amsterdam UMC. From the start of The Hand Academy in 2008, she has been participating as developer, trainer and teacher. Mattie also was board member of the Dutch Society for Hand Therapy for nine years

Victor is a Hand Therapist / Physiotherapist and Dutch CHT. Victor works at a general hospital, the Noordwest Ziekenhuisgroep, in Alkmaar, the Netherlands.

From the start of The Hand Academy in 2008, he has been participating as developer, trainer and teacher. Victor was board member of the Dutch Society for Hand Therapy for four years. After that he was part of the Quality and Expertise Committee of the Dutch Society for Hand Therapists.
